The Red Lion, Old Queen’s Head and Horse and Jockey all opening from Monday 12 April but times vary; The Crown at Penn not opening until 17 May and the Hit or Miss at Penn Street reopens next Saturday, 17 April. For details of these and other local pubs see the blog post from 2 April.
Shops
Our local supermarkets. butchers and hardware shops remain open as usual. Coffee shops remain open for takeaways. The South Bucks Hospice charity shop at Cosy Corner, Hazlemere reopens on Monday 12 April, as do most other charity shops in Beaconsfield.
Libraries
Hazlemere Library opens from Monday, 12 April; High Wycombe Library from Tuesday. Face masks must be worn. Toilets not open.
Hairdressers/barbers
All local hairdressers and barber shops are reopening from Monday.
Transport
Chiltern Railways is introducing a new timetable from Monday 12 April with an increased number of trains to and from London. Arriva Buses is making a slight increase in the number of journeys for the number 31 Penn to Wycombe service from Monday 12 April. There will be a half hourly service during the morning and afternoon peaks and an hourly service in-between. Evening services not yet restored – the last weekday bus from Wycombe is at 18.35.
Churches
In-person church services at St Margaret’s, Tylers Green resume with social distancing and restricted numbers next Sunday 18 April. The services will be streamed from the church to those still worshipping at home via computer.
Bank
Lloyds Bank at Hazlemere Crossroads is open 9am to 3pm, Monday to Friday.
Restaurants
Raj Indian Restaurant, Hazlemere Crossroads – Collection and/or delivery, Tuesday to Sunday.
Jai Ho Indian Restaurant, Hazlemere Crossroads – Delivery service, Tuesday to Sunday

Family Centres
The Wycombe and Beaconsfield Family Centres are due to reopen from Monday.
Car wash
The car wash at Hazlemere Golf Course is reopening on Monday
There is free car parking in all council car parks in Buckinghamshire from Monday until 11 May.
