Coronavirus update

  • The council estimates around 3,400 Buckinghamshire businesses, employing 30,450 people, have had to close during this second lockdown.
  • Penn and Tylers Green Together is organising collections for the Wycombe area One Can charity (see last Sunday’s blog) on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday next week.  Email ptgtogether@gmail.com if you would like a collection.
  • Friends of Tylers Green Middle School – the school’s parents association – is holding its AGM online tonight.
  • Hazlemere Community Centre has raised £1,735 so far in a funding campaign to help it through a period of no income. It is starting its bingo nights again on 4 December. A Norden Ark appeal – a campaign to keep the Norden Farm Arts Centre in Maidenhead afloat until it can earn income again once restrictions are eased – has raised £10,000 in its first week. 
  • Waddesdon Manor, which was due to open its Christmas/Winter lights walk through the gardens this month has decided to extend the attraction until the end of January. The National Trust grounds will now be open from 3 December to 31 January.
